Storyline: At a time when there are debates everywhere on rewriting our history, The Empire, the story of the Mughal Empire which was at the center of the history of medieval India, comes on Disney Hotstar. The first season of this story, which will probably run for six seasons, was released today. It is the story of the life of Babar, the first Mughal emperor who came to India from North/Central Asia.
Present-day Uzbekistan was under the Turk-Mongols in the 14th-15th century and the story of Babur begins from the Samarkand and Fergana states located there. Teenage Babar’s father tells him that Hindustan is very far from here, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Father shows Babar the dream of going there and settling because there are never-ending difficulties of life in the land of Turks-Mongols-Afghans and there is a tough struggle with the tyrannical enemies.
