Murder Mubarak Review: Pankaj Tripathi is the soul of ‘Murder Mubarak’, a mystery comedy

Murder Mubarak Review

Murder Mubarak Review: The fun in watching movies based on murder mystery comes when the mystery of who is behind the murder is not solved till the end. This is the specialty of the movie ‘Murder Mubarak’ directed by Homi Adajania. Last month, producer Dinesh Vijan’s movie ‘Teri Baato Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ was released in theatres. This movie neither lived up to the expectations of the audience nor the film critics, but whatever was lacking in this movie, Dinesh Vijan completed it in the movie ‘Murder Mubarak’ and the entire credit for this goes to the director of the movie Homi Adajania.

The story of the movie ‘Murder Mubarak’ revolves around a murder that took place in Delhi’s The Royal Club. Apart from the rich people of the city, film stars and kings also visit this club or we can say that this is a club where people consider it a matter of pride to come. Meanwhile, all the famous people of the city come under suspicion when a boy Leo Mathew dies while exercising in the same club. The city’s ACP Bhavani Singh investigates this death. The club’s president believes that this is just an accident, but ACP Bhavani Singh does not believe it to be an accident but a premeditated murder and solves the mystery of this murder. All the people who come to the club are under suspicion.

In the film, Leo Mathew’s character is shown as someone who knows the secrets of everyone who comes to the club. ACP Bhavani Singh feels that this could be the real reason for his murder. ACP Bhavani Singh’s suspicion turns into belief when he sees that the CCTV camera was completely covered at the time of Leo Mathew’s death. The story of the film ‘Murder Mubarak’ is based on Anuja Chauhan’s book ‘Club You to Death’ and it has been written for the film by Anuja Chauhan, Gazal Dhaliwal, Supratim Sengupta. The screenplay is such that it does not let the audience get bored and when each mystery is revealed in the film, the audience is also shocked to see it.

After the film ‘Angrezi Medium’, director Homi Adajania’s film ‘Murder Mubarak’ has not been released in theaters but has been released directly on the OTT platform Netflix. Earlier, Homi Adajania’s web series ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’ was streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar last year. The specialty of Homi Adajania is that no matter what genre the film or series is, he understands the pulse of the audience very well. The specialty of this film is also that till the end the audience does not know who has committed the murder. Homi Adajania has been successful in maintaining this mystery in the film completely.

His style of calling everyone in the film as Ji looks very good. Many shades of acting have been seen in Sara Ali Khan’s character in the film. She leaves a different impact in the role of Bambi Toddy. Karisma Kapoor has returned to a film after a long time. She looks amazing in the role of Shahnaz Noorani. Dimple Kapadia in the role of Cookie Katoch, Tisca Chopra in the role of Roshni Batra, Sanjay Kapoor in the role of Ranvijay Singh and Aashim Gulati in the role of Leo Matthew have given tremendous performances.
